This past weekend was crazy for me!

Since singing is one of my passions, this is also something I pursuit next to school. If I will ever make it to the big leagues, that’s is something else, but for now I am enjoying every part of it.

For the past 4 months I have been in a girl group. We are three girls: Cherish Alicia, Kimberley Mungra and myself; together we are ‘One of a kind’.  They have worked and are working with a lot of people such as Angela Groothuizen, Yes-R, Keizer and many more.

This past Saturday was the jumpstart of our group. In Studiowest in Amsterdam we had a showcase which was packed! At this showcase we performed 5 cover songs: Don’t let go by En Vogue, Try sleeping with a broken heart by Alicia Keys, Sway by Pussycat Dolls, Dynamite by Tao Cruz and Please don’t stop the music from Rihanna.

I have learned that you will never reach your full potential if you do not do what you really want to do. Certain things you just have to do, because they are part of the society we live in and since our society is advancing knowledge is needed. But only following and doing what is expected of you, could make you feel like you’re not doing your outmost.

My days are usually filled with waking up at 7, going to work, then school and then rehearsal. I usually don’t get to see my house till 11pm and often still have had no dinner, but I do feel satisfied.

For me ‘follow your passions’ has never just been a sentence but a way of life.
