The news of the day is the appointment of Jan Peter Balkenende, former prime minister, as professor in the new chair of Governance, Institutions and Internationalisation. I am very pleased that we were able to attract this high calibre new member of our faculty. I expect that professor Balkenende’s lectures will be highly rated, having seen him here on campus in May of this year standing in front of a class of RSM students. In addition, his international network will be invaluable to our internationalisation strategy. Jan Peter, a warm welcome to Erasmus!
