11 Nov 2010Since GreenEUR decided to organise a clothing recycling action today on the occasion of sustainability day, I dragged my children out of bed early this morning to clean out their clothing cabinets. And since I am pleased to report that I have lost a few kilos in the last few months, I could also say farewell to a few jackets and skirts which I never hope to fit again. Packed with several bags, looking like a modern day version of a bag lady I dropped off my cargo in the C-hall this morning. This saves me a trip to the recycling store. Thank you, GreenEUR, for this initiative. And thanks also for the hazelnut-trees we received in recognition for the CvB support to your efforts. We will plant them on campus to remind ourselves that green is beautiful. And now I am about to embark on a trip to Japan (to attend a series of Board meetings). Sustainability day has reinforced my awareness of the environmental impact of airmiles, so I will make sure the damage is compensated with green investments.
