The Institute for Peace and Dialogue (IPD) next International Winter Programs in Peacebuilding, Conflict Transformation, Medation, Security and Intercultural Dialogue are going to be held in Switzerland. Applicants could choose either 10 days Winter academy (17-26 February, 2017) or 3 Month CAS-Research program (17 February – 16 May, 2017) in their filled application.

The main goal of the 10 days Winter Academy is to strengthen the skills of the participants through academic trainings in peacebuilding, mediation, conflict resolution, security and intercultural dialogue fields. The main goal of the 3 Month CAS-Research Program is to develop the skills of the researchers via academic trainings, reading materials, Supervisor guidance and closely acquaintance them with relevant Swiss state, public and private Institutions.

IPD offer several type of scholarship support to reduce the participation fee amount for most needed potential participants from all over the world counties.

The International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP) will hold its 9th International Conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland, 10-13 April 2017. The Conference  invites delegates and participants to nominate or submit proposals for speakers and presenters. Deadline: November 30, 2016

The conference theme, “Cities as Living Museums for Peace”, will highlight Belfast’s social and political transformation from a divided, troubled city to a one which models peace consciousness through postconflict healing and reconciliation.

Paper sessions will include individual or co-authored historical reports, case studies of museums or other places, events or people, peace education. For more information about it click here.

The United Network of Young Peacebuilders (UNOY Peacebuilders)  has two internship positions available at its secretariat in The Hague: Advocacy and Communications Office and Network Officer.

African Diaspora Policy Centre (ADPC) in collaboration with The Hague Academy of Local Governance (THA) will be holding the fourth Diaspora Academy Peacebuilding Workshop in The Hague.

The objective of the training is to widen and to strengthen the peace-building capacities of diaspora organisations so that their activities contributing to peace and social stability in their countries of origin will become more effective and enduring.

Institute for Peace and Dialogue (IPD) has opened applications for the 2017 Visitor Research Program (VRP) which will be held in IPD SA 2014 Photos 9Switzerland. The main aim of the program is to improve research skills of the researchers through academic training, peer to peer education, visit to Swiss Organisations and reading materials.

The topics for Research Period are peacebuilding, mediation, conflict Resolution, security, intercultural dialogue, and human Rights. The starting and ending Research dates depends on the Researchers’ schedule. For more information about the program and how to apply clock here.

Deadline for application is 1 September 2016.

The thesis prize has been organised by the Dutch Council for Refugees and the ISS. The prizes (one bachelors and one masters)
will be awarded to students who wrote a thesis that address any aspect of refugee protection outside The Netherlands and Europe.
The evaluation of these dissertations will be carried out by a selection committee of at least 3 members, each of whom have much experience and knowledge in this area of study. First Phase DigitalDeadline for applications: 31 August 201

The Women Scholarship for Peace: Global South is an initiative coordinated by the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) at Vienna.  The training courses are specific for Middle East, Africa and Asia/Pacific women and will start in October 2016. A total of 140 scholarships are made available for women between 22-32 years of age from the Global South to travel to the regional training course locations. Applications for eligible candidates from Latin America will be open in 2017.

Participants will obtain a certificate from the UN mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) and may apply for a Diploma with University credits. The training courses focus on disarmament, non-proliferation and development-related issues through on-line and in-person classes. For details and application click here
